While walking around a neighborhood to find people to help, I found a house that was ripped apart from the inside out. It was obvious that no one lived there anymore. The house didn't have any carpet. The wood floors had large holes. The small bathroom was missing a sink and a toilet. The kitchen had more holes in the floor. I wondered where did the cupboards, sinks and linoleum go? This is a bank owned foreclosure.
Why would someone take their anger out of the house? How could someone who used to have an emotional connection with this home simply tear it apart? What about their neighbors? What about their own integrity? Didn't we learn in school that you shouldn't tear up someone's property? When I worked as a police officer I never took a report from a home that was burglarized with this much damage. It was shocking to the very core of my inner being.
