That's right... if you are a fan of basketball and live in the Dallas area, NBA Nations is coming to the 'Taste of Dallas' located in the West End July 10-12.

What is the NBA Nation?  It's a mobile Basketball Playground. An 18 wheel, 53 foot showtruck. Inside is the VIP Skydeck where fans watch some basketball in the courts below, have some snacks and beverages, and watch some NBA Highlights. There will be a live DJ, food, contests, and prizes.

Whats the price? Nothing... nada... zilch.

When and Where? This weekend, starting Friday July 10th from 11:00 am - 9:00 pm, continuing on Saturday July 11th from 11:00 am - 9:00 pm, and wrapping things up on Sunday July 12th from 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm.

Each day there will be special guests like Sam Perkins (7/10 @ 7 pm), LaMarcus Aldridge (7/11 @ 1 pm), Spud Webb (7/11 @ 2pm), and Dallas's own... Rolando Blackman and Jason Kidd (7/12 @ 2 pm).

Besides meeting current players and legends, watching highlights, there will be two full basketball courts.  On these courts they will hold a few contests for prizes. Show off your skills - whether you are a dribbler, shooter, or even a dunker.  Can't dunk on the 10 foot rim? No problem... they have an 8, 9, and 10 foot rim. Contests for dunking will only be held on the 10 foot rim, but you can still show off your skills on one of the lower baskets.

Still not sure?  It's free... bring the kids!  They will certainly have a good time and who knows... maybe you will too.

Now that sounds really awesome. Hopefully, it won't be 100 degrees outside.

Well, you know Texas in July.  It WILL be hot Ricki. Should still be fun though. People like myself just have to remember the sunblock.

This sounds like a lot of fun!  I was just about to forward it to my daughter in that area, and then I remembered she's on a business trip.  Well, keep 'em coming so I can continue sharing "things to do" with her.

This should be fun for a lot of people, and the price certainly seems to be right.

Sheila - Unfortunately, it does not look like its coming to San Antonio, at least not yet. If I see anything, I'll send you an email. Looks like Dallas is the last stop. I hear you on the sunblock though. I burn and peel, then burn and peel. Endless cycle.

Margaret - I know you like to share with your daughter so I try to keep you updated on the latest in the area  :-)   Maybe she can make it next time.

LOL JL. You cant beat the price for sure.

This sounds reallly cool. But I can't seem to get a visual in my head, of what this mobile VIP truck looks like. I think I'm stuck on "skydeck" and "truck"  ???  >.<  Any pictures of it? Or if you're going, can you get pictures? Inquiring minds want to know. lol

Hi Lisa... Here's a picture... You will see in the middle is the truck, and on the bottom is what it turns out to be. There are better pictures on their website, but I'll be sure to take pictures this weekend.

As a Loan Officer, it is my job to remove the stress out of buying a home and/or refinancing your current mortgage. I do this by providing ongoing updates, being available for questions, and ultimately delivering 'as promised' with not surprises. My goal is to become your consultant for life and for you to rely on me to assist your family and friends as well. I work closely with local real estate agents by helping increase their business. I approach this in two ways. The first way is to review the agents current marketing plan to identify areas where enhancements can be made to generate higher quality leads. The second part is focused on the service to the client both during and especially AFTER the sale.
