This is the new designation.  It will be my next.

I've heard lots about going green in recent months and recent years.  I come from a rural area and gardening was always a part of my life.  Therefore, preserving the land and water resources is something that is always on my mind.

I don't take abusing the land and polluting lightly.  I sell land and it is a very valuable asset.  Ask anyone who has recently purchased any acreage.  It is not something to disrespect or pollute.  It is a valuable resource and those fortunate enough to own it, usually appreciate its value.

There are many new "green" products coming on the market for the consumer that will improve our lives, make buildings and homes safer, and will pollute less and will save resources.  I am excited to see these many products coming to the consumer at a reasonable price as well.  I have a client that recently finished building their home and it is off the grid.  Hooray for these forward thinking people!

We can all go a little "Greener" and our world will be better for it.

Hi Ricki... this is a designation I am very interested in.  I think that it would be a fascinating curriculum.

Me too.  I can't wait to go but the Fall will be the soonest it could happen.  I'm so busy right now. Very happy about that! Hope you are doing well.  Will be talking to you soon.

Good for you.  I started my "green" training yesterday with a course in envirnmental influences on real estate sales.

It's a start.

As with the "foreclosure market", the "short sale market", etc. the "green market" will attract a plethora of advertisers selling dubious benifits to consumers.

As licensed real estate practitioners with experience helping buyers and sellers achieve their goals, we are in a unique position to become the center of the "green movement" as it evolves.

Hi Lenn,  I definitely agree we are in a position to become the center of the "green  movement".  Something as big as this and what a boost for our industry in a time when we need it so much.  That course sounds perfect!  Have a great week.

Glad your going to get the Real Estate Green designation!

P.S. Our good friends Carl and Ceil's son David joind the ActiveRain community yesterday. And posted his first blog post, it sure is a real fine read. Please stop by David's post and give him a big Texas welcome to the AR community.

Hi John,  Yes there are several designations available for "green".  Some are better than others I've heard.

Howdy Dale,  I will stop by David's blog and welcome him.  Always glad to see newcomers and esp. when they are part of the regular gang! :)

Yes Carl & Ceil,  I do believe that is true.  Will keep you up to date.
