I recently saw this fragment, when Obama was campaigning, and when he said that they will redistribute the wealth, and that he thought this was a good thing, it sounded painfully familiar.

Red armyThis wonderful experiment with someone else's money has been tried before. In 1917 Russia decided to push slow history and expedite the transition to the great future. They redistributed the wealth in 1917. they did it so well, that the country is still suffering 90 years later.

Power is the most dangerous narcotics. Drug overdose can kill you. Power overdose brings death and misery to others. To millions of others.

I could never figure why Vladimir Lenin, who was a lawyer by education and who studied abroad, and read American Constitution,... why he did not fall in love with it but chose Marxist approach instead?

Now I am puzzled how could American president get fascinated with Lenin's approach. Because he is also a lawyer by education? But wait, Lincoln was a lawyer, too, as many other presidents...

Historians will write volumes about this phenomenon. About a guy who singlehandedly tried to make a transition from a rich and powerful to just an average country at best.

We watched the fall of the Soviet Union. Ronald Reagan, a great American president did a lot to make it happen. We are watching today another American president, Barak Obama. How he is bringing down another super-power: United States of America

Jon, lets pray for the best and prepare for what we as a people may be called upon once again to defend ... freedom isn't free. Not even in USA. Give the man a chance to do what he thinks is right for this nation, when the time is right we will take back what is ours.

Suesan - yes, the people will. Except that they will not be able to return the money already wasted. And this is a shame

Campaign rhetoric is not a source of information I would rely on as motives are suspect.

Richard - in this instance what he does goes beyond even what he was saying. Did you notice billions if not trillions already lost? And you sure know about those that are planned.

Hugh- Hi, glad to see you here. Let me say it this way. I think that there should be a monument to Ronald Reagan in Moscow. He was the one who helped liberate Russia.

I think they also need to erect the monument to Barak Obama, as he is working for Russians in trying to make America weak.

Jon --- all these folks who are pushing B.O.'s agenda .... wish they would at least READ what they're voting on before actually voting. Do they even know? No excuse for any legislator to vote on anything without reading AND comprehending the provisions as well as the effects of specific bills.

Pacita - have mercy for our legislators. These are over 1,000 page documents, and when they are supposed to vote on them sometimes having less than a day to read it, it is not happening.

Give me a 1,000 page document, and just surfing through would take a long time. How convenient to stick something on page 800, that you would never notice.

If our legislators would really read all that... I just can't imagine that happening

Jon --- I agree....there's just not enough time to read a document that's released at 3 am for them to vote on by 9 am. But whose fault is that, and with all the brainpower in D.C., couldn't they have made sure that they have enough time to digest the voluminous documents that those verbose people stack up on top of the other.

These folks are the ones who turn a 100 page document into 1000 pages when they place their individual changes (and pork) into it.

I have no pity! And my well of understanding has run dry. The unfortunate thing is that it's the public who will bear the consequences of these legislators' lack of accountability.
