Time is a Thief

Time

time watcher

Do you waste time on non-productive tasks? The greatest expense an agent can have is time spent getting ready to get ready to conduct real estate.  Without a sphere of influence, farm or social networking to connect you are relying on cold calls or phone duty.  Well coordinated time following a business plan must be adhered to attract business or you will be bankrupt long before the first deal.  While your getting ready your competition is "doing !!"

Time is precious and prioritizing activities that generate revenue must be your focus if you are to survive in today's market place.

Dorie,

Great advice "make a plan and work it every day" review your results and concentrate on those activities that have had the biggest impact.

Best wishes

Sharon

Hi Dorie, It seems I do waste time on unproductive tasks, while I'm waiting for someone to email back, or call me back...I'll work on watching that thief!

Annette,

That is for sure. It's amazing how much time we can waste on things that are not productive!

Sharon,

Without a doubt not sticking to your plan could lead to low productivity! Reviewing your results daily sounds like a plan to me.

I am getting pretty good at time management, if I say so myself. For a while now I have been planning my month, two things to do daily, allowing three must do items to be added each day if nessacary and have found that I can get these done fairly easily with time to spare.

There is something I like to say half joking/half serious to fellow agents in my office who try and chat with me while I'm trying to work and be productive:

"Time is money and you're wasting my money"
