A couple of months ago I was sitting in a board meeting listening to an update from a couple of people who had been to a conference where Jeff Turner spoke. I had to laugh to myself; they discussed how important it is for our members to recognize the effectiveness of "Social Networking". They were so excited. I thought, I've been reading and implementing Jeff Turner's information for years now.
I have discussed "Social Networking" in our meetings before and was dismissed; it took Jeff Turner for them to see the light sort of speak. I'm sure Jeff put a better spin on the topic. I personally have learned from Jeff's postings, as well as Missy Caulks and many others from the ActiveRain community. Now I even give presentations to WCR groups about the importance of ALL networking and etiquette. Jeff allowed me to used one his videos in a meeting. Now that's sharing.
It's amazing what we learn from each other thanks to ActiveRain. Just today I researched "Realtor Floor Plans" because of the advertisement listed on the top of the page. I have researched it before, and then pushed it aside. Today, I sent information to my office agent and staff member, they loved it. Now it will be implemented.
Okay, I even cried when Todd Clark's family pooch died. A fellow ActiveRainer anonymously sent a gift card for his local Humane Society. WOW...
I called on Virginia Tatseos's new business to assist family members that lost their mom.
The ideas and information from ActiveRain has helped my business grow and success in the changed market. The research from sharing on ActiveRain is second to none. Thank you ActiveRain, Jeff Turner and all others that share information to assist others to succeed.
Isn't if Funny, that it takes the Same Message your saying to be delivered in a different format or setting to get the point across? I try to remember this when I meet with my clients. I know they are not always receptive to different thoughts and ideas, so I repeat them frequently inside the house, in the car, at the office and so on...
Thanks for keeping the idea, Fresh
