I don't know about you(my fellow Realtors), but I am sick and tired of turning on CNN, FoxNews, and my local networks and hearing about how bad the Real Estate market is and how it will get even worse.  My clients are always calling and asking, "Is it a good time to sell?", or "Is a good time to buy?  It's funny but I am starting to think the media controls Real Estate Hot Spots & Cold Spots.  Sure the statistics from the NAR are in front of us all, but you can look at numbers every which way.  Housing statistics can be viewed in a negative light, or a positive light, depending on the news story you want.  In the North Atlanta Real Estate market, for the most part we are doing fine.  The hot spots of Alpharetta, Woodstock, & Canton, remain popular to the constant relo's coming our way.  I'm not saying that Atlanta is immune to any Real Estate depression, but it really is just not that bad here.  So a message to the media.....Stop scaring people into thinking the Real Esate market is going to crash!

You do have to wonder what motivates the media. If we believed everything we saw or heard we would all be hiding under the bed!

Have you seen the Realtor who has been on Good Morning America lately? Gimme a break! This woman is a one person storm trying to turn to real estate market around. She's doing a bad job. Even Robin Roberts couldn't believe what she was hearing.

Don't expect any help from Fox.  While it's my constant companion during the day, being chained to my computer that I am, Fox has a huge interest in seeing the stock market thrive and the real estate market crashing.

Fox was predicting a housing market crash two years ago and real etate in our area grew about 15-20% during that time.

It's true that the market is on life support now, but folks who owned their homes in this area for the past five years have doubled the value of their home.

What has the stock market done in the past five years??  Just now getting back to pre-9/11 values.
