Remembering The World's Greatest Need Of People.

Heart DogMany real estate brokerages are very civic and community minded giving back to the towns are areas they are involved with. In my particular company, Keller Williams, they have a KW Cares organization that requests donations from our closings to put forward to good use in the community and also organizes many events to help people. It points us toward

Remembering The World's Greatest Need Of People.

Believe it or not it is not money or any kind of thing. We even hear of great causes in the world to eradicate poverty and hunger. All wonderful ideas of course. We should all help starving people.

But do you know what the most charitable thing you can do for people is? Clue. It is a hunger.

It is LOVING them. Caring about them. It doesn't cost a cent. But it is giving some of the inside of you to the inside of another. How hard is that? It's not hard at all but means the world to many. I wrote recently on the importance of the connectedness between us social networkers and villages local or global as a whole and how important that is to our well being. Mother Teresa said a long time ago in these two quotes:

"We think sometimes that poverty is only being hungry, naked and homeless. The poverty of being unwanted, unloved and uncared for is the greatest poverty. We must start in our own homes to remedy this kind of poverty."

"There is more hunger in the world for love and appreciation in this world than for bread."

May your best charitable work start at home, inside of YOU, inside your heart, and spread it to all you meet.

Gary...

Especially when you notice that they are in some discomfort, just a simple recognition of their plight can be meaningful!

Why should we expect help some day when we don't give someone else help today when we can.  A very simple concept people don't grasp!

Gary, great as always, I just read a book, quite quickly while the kids were swimming and make lots of noise.  One statement that stuck out was something like, "When you meet someone, say to them (in your mind), I Love You.",  It seems like such a simple statement, but, I am betting that the positive energy flow from it will translate into kindness and heartfelt sentiment from you to them.

What a powerful post, I love the words of Mother Theresa about poverty. We have love and it is free, we are free to give it, and in the giving it comes back to us.  Great post today, Gary!

Hi Gary

We have to be there for people that are less fortunate then our self, with a helping hand and letting them know that we care.

Good luck and success.

I had a terrible day.  It was the culmination of three months' of fighting for a buyer to get a property that was bank-owned.  By my bank.  I hated them for most of the time, but they were my client.  And, in the middle of the closing, Jeff Turner sent me this lovely VIDEO wishing me a happy birthday!  Appreciation?  Oh, he will have my undying gratitude, along with the other friends who took the time today to wish me well.  And, friend, I learned a very valuable lesson...then read your blog which reinforced it...tell the people who matter to you that they do.  While you have the chance.

Being Loved Gary is both the most valuable asset of Life and the thing most easiest to give away. For doing so doesn't deplete it, it multiplies it. I think it is what the author had in mind when he said, "you will reap what you sow". Sow Grapes and you harvest grapes. Sow Love and you become the wealthiest person alive. You should know Gary.

Gary, Great post. I agree. Being loved and appreciated is what gives us more happiness than any gift that we receive .

Hi Gary  It is difficult to single out a post of yours that I would consider " The best of the Best ".  I love them all and as Lee and Pamela said ..you keep us grounded

.and as William added so beautifully

Being Loved Gary is both the most valuable asset of Life and the thing most easiest to give away. For doing so doesn't deplete it, it multiplies it

My daughter gave me as a gift, Mother Teresa's " The Joy in Loving " if there is anyone in this world who has exemplified what love is all about...it is the life  and works of Mother Teresa among the poor.

Thank you again for a beautiful tribute to Love.  I witness a lack there of in the nursing homes ...they too are among the poor and hungry ( for love )

I loved June's comments.  I echo them.  She is so right about it all that I have nothing to add.  Go to a nursing home this week and pick some to love.

My dearest friend, I will quote my daughter:  "praying is helping and helping is sharing"  ... she said this when she was talking for her vlog at www.excellentprettier.com (see this blog post)

I agree 100% that showing you care is more important than price, location, fancy marketing.

Thank you for showing love!
