Today is 7-11 Saturday.  Feel lucky?  Sunny and continued warm.  Dodgers rally in the 9th and win in the 10th.  A great team.  Speaking of that... Did you listeb to the KMET reunion yesterday?  It was great hearing all my old friends again.  Why isn't there another kmet?  I know why-email me... if you'd like to know.

The weekend means:themlsweekendopenhouseguide.com  Please use this great guide to educate yourself to what's out there.

Council Member Tom LaBonges' newsletter is here:

Tom had three big events this week:  A Community Congress on Tuesday night, a Tour LaBonge bike ride on Wednesday night and the unveiling of the new NoHo Gateway (designed by artist Peter Shire) on Thursday night.  For more information and photos of these events, please visit:  www.tomlabonge.com

- Thanks to everyone who turned out for the Community Congress on Tuesday, which explored the impact of city budget cuts on sanitation, street services and public safety.  Arthur T. Leahy, the new CEO of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, also spoke about METRO expansion plans in the Wilshire area.  The attached Council District 4 newsletter was distributed at the meeting.

- The third Tour LaBonge summer evening bike ride traveled the streets of Toluca Lake, NoHo and Studio City on Wednesday night.  The next ride will be on Wednesday, July 15th in the Griffith Park area.  Please see the attached flier for more details and forward it to your friends!

- Drive along Lankershim Blvd. near Huston St. and see the new NoHo Arts District gateway, which was installed and unveiled on Thursday.

- Please join Tom on Monday, July 13th at 3 p.m. for a groundbreaking ceremony at Shatto Park, 3191 W. 4th St., in Koreatown.  The city Dept. of Recreation and Parks is installing new universally accessible playground equipment for children, new fitness equipment for adults and new drought-tolerant landscaping for Mother Earth.  The park will be under construction for about six months.

Enjoy the weekend, and as always, continue to enjoy and love Los Angeles!
