The last 4 years in real estate have been pretty discouraging to say the least.  In the beginning I was so excited.  I gave it my all.  I did the work.  I did the time, spent a whole lot of money, and put a lot of energy into my career as a real estate agent.  I felt like I was climbing mountains only to slide back down.

When the real estate market started to go downhill, I began focusing on my small business as a Mobile Notary/Loan Document Signing Agent.  I have bills to pay you know.

I seriously thought about throwing in the towel because let's face it, it's not easy out there right now.  However, after a lot of consideration, I decided to renew my real estate license again for another 4 years.  I am not giving up!

Thanks Roy!  I do realize that, but still need all the encouragement I can get.  Your comment is very much appreciated.

That seems like a good combination you have going there.  I have always thought you had to do real estate full time, but in the last few years I have been very happy to have had a small side business.  I will not be a super star but I can afford to keep going in Real Estate this way.  I have seen it slow before, but this is the worst I have seen in 28 years.  Congratulations on your decision to hang in.

Congrats on your deciding to stay-I know it takes a lot of hard work and dedication. I have been at the cross-road before and I realized this was something I truly loved and decided to give it my all 110%. I wish you success with your decision.

Hi Denise,

Congrats on making the decision to stay in. Even if you left it would not mean you were a quitter. If this is the field you love and you can hang in there then go for it!

Thanks Sandra for taking the time to stop by and comment!   It means a lot.

Pat - It does take a lot of hard work and dedication, but I'm a survivor! Thank you for your well wishes :)

Dorie - Thank you and I do love real estate!  I've been involved in some aspect of it for over 10 years now.

Denise,

You are right it has been tough for a while! Good for you, for not giving up! Those of us who hang in there and work hard will see the benifits. Things have been turning around, be ready!

Hang in There!  I have read over and over that if you can make it 4 years you will make it this business.  Most drop out within 2 to 3.
