Tax Credit Almost Gone!!!! Well in our area here in New York, you are beginning to run out of time to qualify!!!!

It takes any where from 45 to 90 days it seems lately to close a Real Estate deal here in New York. That means if you don't get into contract before October 15th at the latest, but most likely you need to be in contact by September 1st. Some banks are handling their deal in a more timelyfashion but most seem to be floundering with a clue.

This means the buyers that are out there better choose their banks and mortgage brokers very carefully.

I wonder if we'll see any kind of a rush this fall?  I mean really, who gives you $8,000 to buy a home?  Everybody needs a home, why not have the cash too?

Wanda-Here we are seeing a lot of buyers that were sitting on the fence jump straight off and into the pot. Although I still run across some people that do not know about the credit. We still need to get the word out before it is to late!!!!!

Short Sales are "out" for these "first timers", for sure.  My new buyers are concentrating upon "privately owned" homes that can be closed quickly without the hassle associated with the short sale transactions.

Tom-In most cases that is a goo idea. The short sales are kind of tough time wise.
