Everyday life is full of a multitude of responsibilities embedded within our many individual roles:  Husband, Wife, Father, Mother, Son, Daughter, Brother, Sister, Family Member, Workmate, Schoolmate,  Friends, Peers, Bosses, Employee, Teachers,  ...and so many more.

It is so easy for everyone of us to lose perspective from time-to-time, perhaps much more than we would like. I found in the following photos and captions a moment of pause.  I hope you enjoy and pass them along.

This just came to me on the internet a couple of weeks ago. It certainly does bring our cushy lives into perspective.

Sharon, It sure does, doesn't it?  We have nothing to complain about do we?  I just loved this and wanted to pass it along.

Elizabeth: It's beyond imagination what our brave soldiers have to go through. You're to be commended for honoring them with this post.

Elizabeth - I had not seen this until today, thanks for sharing. I think about our men and women serving often but still find time to complain about that which is really trivial.

Wow, this certainly puts life into perspective.  We are so lucky to live with the freedom and luxury we have and we should be reminding ourselves this every day!

Missy-A friend from City Data sent it to me.  Heart breaking, isn't it?  Hope you are doing well my friend :)

Mike-You are so welcome.  We do all need to remember how wonderful our lives are, don't we?

Sharon-Exactly!  We have it made and it is hard to keep things in perspective, isn't it? This is a great reminder, for sure.

Elizabeth, I've never been in the military. The only member of my family that has is my uncle and that was years and years and years ago (I was a little boy). Who knows whats in store for my son or daughter when they get older, but I cant imagine how worried I would be for them while they are away. The words you have above really put things into perspective. Thanks for sharing.

Elizabeth - This is a lovely post.  I think I saw this via email awhile back (or something similar).  It puts things in sharp perspective, doesn't it?

This was an awesome blog post... It's true. Everyday life really is a multitude of responsibilities that get categorized based on what role you are playing at the time. I worked in the air force for some time and could relate to a lot of the general frustrations a soldier can have. I fully intend on sharing this blog with my wife and kids!
