I say all you golfers get in there!  There is nothing more beneficial than to help an abused or neglected child...so that the next generation may have a chance!

Awwww, Sally, thanks so much for the support.  This is our First Annual Golf Tournament to raise money for this group and we want it to be a success. 

Judi:  I gave a few years to "save" the world...didn't work...because they didn't want to be saved....children are more resilient if given a chance.

Sally, yes, the children are more resilient if given a chance.  The "Dare to Love" organization is run by volunteers, all of the money donated to them is used to purchase and stock The Rainbow Room which is an emergency supply store.  The room is stocked with diapers, formula, clothing, shoes, school supplies, personal grooming items, educational toys, and household clearning supplies.  When a Child Protective Services caseworker picks up a child they can then pick out clothing, shoes and personal grooming items needed for that child prior to him/her being placed in a shelter or foster home. 

I wish I was in Texas, I love to golf.  Maybe next time Judi!

Jonathan, thanks for stopping by.  Next year's tournament will be in April.  I will get the information out as soon as we set the date.  Weather here in April is very nice -- maybe you'll be able to come down, play in the tournament and visit our beautiful city for a few days.  It would be great if some of my Active Rain "golfer" friends could all come and help us out!
