Wordpress Self Hosted Blog (This is a wordpress blog that you have associated with your website).

How to add your self hosted blog to your You Tube account.

Log into You Tube
Click on "account"
Click "Blog Setup"
Click "Add a Blog" button

You will be given a list of blog services that you can attach to your You Tube account. Select "Wordpress Self Hosted"

Enter your Wordpress blog user name and password

You will need to get an API key so go to Wordpress.com and create an account there. You don't need to have a blog account to get your API key. I'm not sure why this is set up this way but it is.

Enter your API key
Enter your blog URL like this http://myblogurl/xmlrpc.php You will need the ending of xmlrpc.php to activate the connection.
Click "Add Blog" and you are done.

Specific Blog Host Requirements for You Tube:

Friendster: Your username is your email address.
WordPress.com: Requires your blog's url (blogname.wordpress.com) if it is not username.wordpress.com.
WordPress Self-Hosted: Requires an API key and the API URL (http://your blog's URL/xmlrpc.php).

John, I got my api key from wordpress.com

I do have self hosted WP.org blog and when I put the key in my wp.org log on and password in for that blog hit submit, it says error.

What am I doing wrong, I followed your directions to a tee, added my http://annarborrealestatetalk.com/xmlrpc.php in

Thanks I am doing everything correctly and the video did help. But i am still getting an error message of UNKNOWNN.

I sent it off to my web guy to see if he can figure it out as I have the API key and the xmirpc.php box is checked on the self hosted blog.
