   The absorption rate is a way to measure the market. You divide the number of homes for sale by the number sold per month to see how many months inventory exists.

   Here in Ocala, we are still in a buyers market and I think it will continue for the rest of this year. It's a great time to buy a home. There is a lot of inventory to choose from and prices couldn't be better.

Hi Joe, I also use absorption rates in my weekly review of the Tallahassee area market. I discuss this with prospects as well, since it is good indicator of what the market is doing in terms of supply, demand and economics. Thanks for your Ocala, report.
