nesOK, folks, who can tell what this one is?

I took it here in New Mexico on Saturday, but you sure wouldn't have to be in the Land of Enchantment to find one for yourself (unlike the flowery entry I made a couple of days ago, which no one has guessed yet!)

Just a wild guess.  Is that a New Mexican bee hive?

I think I agree with Alan, some sort of nest.  At first I thought it may be scat or owl vommit!  but nope, I will go with a nest.

Good eye, Alan! It is indeed a swallow's nest. NO to beehive, scat, or owl vomit, though, folks!

I thought this one would be the stumper, but it turns out the first guess was right, and it's my recent "flowery" picture that seems to have stumped all those sharp eyes out there!

Hi Laura

I'm late arriving, but would never have guessed a swallow's nest.  Owl vomit??? If Robert can get us a photo of owl vomit, we will take up a collection for him.  To help him with his therapy lol.

I could use some extra cash, Please take up a collection for me!  It was the hair that had me thinking it was something different!

Robert, the hair is horse hair. We have 5 horses, and the swallows apparently like it as binding material for their nest or something!

If I claimed it was owl vomit, would somebody take up a collection for me??
