flowerI'm looking forward to more of these "Name that Photo" entires... They're lots of fun! In the mean time, can you ID this subject of this photo?

Once again, it was taken here in New Mexico...

See what you think.

Way too easy!  I knew it right off.  That there is a picture of Shrek's belly button.

Some kind of a plant. Now that is a good guess. LOL

Hi Laura,

I am have to go with Brian on this one. It definately looks like an Ogar belly button, but I am not sure if it's Shrek. Do you have an Ogar population in New Mexico?

Brian and Lisa, that was good for a few belly laughs, but not for a correct answer.

Ally, you'll have to be a bit more specific...

Karen, it's not a squash, but you are "warm" in being in the garden!

I agree with the tomato actually. Nice that the stem was taken out first.

Laura - The first thing that came to my mind is a flower from an agave plant.

Hey, Laura. I am thinking it is a part of the melon family. Perhaps one that is to early to pick. Thanks, Jim

Not a tomatilla, or an agave flower, or a tomato, or a melon. Not actually a pumpkin, either, Terri, but you're really close...

Laura - My second guess was going to be a pumpkin flower. I see that someone has already guessed it.

Thanks-- I thought it turned out looking interesting and puzzling when I took the real closeup shot!

Never heard of a pumpkin flower let alone know that you could eat it.
