OK, so maybe I still haven't recovered from the baring of my soul when I posted "Impulse Control Problems" or maybe this is just another control problem as we plumb the depths of darkness that is me and my thirst for perfect technology...
So it's not enough to spend $600 on a cutting edge Treo 650 (1.5 years ago) I also do an accessory blitz... extra power cord for the office, sd memory card, leather holster... then, while I liked the holster... it's not exactly what I wanted.. so I get the custom Vaja black leather case with my full name engraved on it (awesome for $130)... then I buy chatteremail and forward my e-mail to an IMAP server so that I have the same stuff everywhere. Then I find that my Jabra bt headset doesn't function properly and purchase a Sony Ericsson 660... which is obviously built for small ears because it really hurt to wear. Then I bought the Treo Headset and all was right with the world... donated the damned SE headset for charity at the CyberPros event. Of course the extra stylus and screen protectors (the really good ones)
Now, I've purchased the HTC TyTn (of course cutting edge... $700) and because I've learned my lesson... I waited until I received it to decide what accessories I might want. (Well, except for the 2gb micro sd card) I've received it and dumped chatteremail and the IMAP server, picked up a hosted exchange server. The case that it came with is perfectly acceptable... but I found a brown leather one that I need to have... Oh and don't forget those screen protectors! Fortunately this one came with an extra stylus, and it can be powered from the wall or while syncing via the mini USB interface of which I have extras because of my cool (accessorized) MP3 player.
I don't even want to tell you about my two Tablet PC adventures.
So now I have a perfectly accessorized Treo 650 sitting here collecting dust (I think I may do eBay... see if anybody named Angus Woodbury wants to pay a premium for that awesome engraved case)
It's a good thing I'm not into cars...
