The Great Race - in Sacramento this coming Saturday!

For those of you living in or near Sacramento; or if you are planning a visit, I'd like to encourage you to place this coming Saturday, July 18^th on the calendar, to attend THE GREAT RACE presented by Eppie's Great Race Foundation. This event will celebrate its 36^th year, and is the "World's Oldest Triathalon." Held annually along the beautiful American River Parkway, between Rancho Cordova and Sacramento, the three legs of the race consist of a 5.82 mile run, a 12.5 cycle and a 6.35 mile paddle.

THE GREAT RACE is always an exciting event to watch and is in one of the most scenic and wonderful recreations available in the area.

Paula - I nearly had forgotten it too! I simply don't know where this year is going!

Heather - I'm planning on watching! I have family coming to town this weekend, so don't know if I'll be successful in that or not.

Thanks for the reminder Myrl, we have lived in Sacramento for over 30 years and never been to the Great Race! Maybe this year will be our first.

Sandra - We have had 7 straight days of 100+ weather. . .I'm more than ready for a cooling trend.

Michelle - I'm a swimmer, not a rower, a cyclist, or a runner. . .So guess I'll always be just a spectator:-)
