HI Charles, Buddy must have patience to no end. A cat will sit so quietly and watch its amazing to watch them. Does Buddy "talk" to the birds too? Its a funny noise they make in their throat, I have seen a few cats do that and its amazing too.

Wonderful photo with great composition for a quick shot....

My Tom doesn't miss it either. We installed a bell around his neck because he has so much patience. It works sometimes.

Charles, that must be like cat torture, being only separated by a pane of glass!

Cats are so interesting when they are about to attack a bird. Instincts do take over.

I do enjoy watching our dog waiting for the squirrel or the birds they seem to have unlimited patience.

Charles - cats have a lot more patience than humans.

Charles, I had a bird who ended up dying of a heart attack, because the cat was always watching it (and probably jumped on the cage a couple of times when no one was looking).
This reminded me of it immediately. :)

Hi Charles! What a beautiful cat. What kind is s/he? From this angle it looks like our cat which is a Siamese. Great catch getting that Hummingbird in flight!

I'm betting this keeps Buddy entertained for hours!!

That Buddy will probably patiently wait for hours as you say. And we can sure learn a lot from our pets about that virtue.

I didn't notice the hummingbird until I saw what you wrote, they are fast. It is a great shot, and it had to be a difficult one shooting towards the light like that. Great job!

Charles - I think perhaps that is a cat feeder, rather than a bird feeder:-) Cats are hard-wired to be focused on birds and mice.

Great photo, Charles. That little hummer was moving so fast, I didn't even spot it in the photo 'til I read it.
