Gary - Of all the flowers in my yard, I wait with the most anticipation for the Stargazer Lilies to bloom this time each year.  There were 42 buds total, these are the ones in flower currently.

Dinah - I'm very fond of 'em too!

Heather - The color is gorgeous, but the fragrance is heavenly, and completely fills my backyard.

Janna - With all our technology, don't you wish we could transport fragrance via the computer:-)

Maria - I used the title as a "hook" - but "Stargazer" is the actual name of that particular lily.

Robert - Thank you so much for the feature, Kind Sir!

Liz - I'm glad you liked it!

Laura - We do have some nice flowers here. . .But I'm more envious of the way things grow in San Diego.

Jan - I'm glad you liked them.

Carla - I'm glad they were to your liking. . .Thanks for visiting!

You're very good.  Only very good photographers use flash in daylight.

Suesan - Yep, the name for the lily with those colors is "Stargazer."  We have a Daylilly Farm not far from my home, and I ordered them through there.

Kenneth - I wish I could agree with you. . .But there are those photographers that forget to turn off the flash in daylight!  That'd be me:-)

Hi Myrl ~ These are just gorgeous! It really does seem like a bumper crop of day lilies this year.  Around here the bright yellow ones are out everywhere but your stargazers are simply exquisite.

Hey Myrl, It looks like your stargazers are going just as crazy as mine! I planted them last year and was so surpised at the rate in which they multiplied this year!! Stargazers are my favorite flower...love the way they smell! Great photo!

Have a great day,

Hannah - The Stargazer Lily fragrance is the most wonderful perfum in my garden right now.

Elizabeth - I agree with you!  I seem to notice more of them this year.  I was thinking more people had planted them, and that was why I was noticing.

Marney - Stargazers are pretty easty to grow, even for the most brown of thumbs.

Ann - I'm having that multiplication experience too.  I was shocked to count 42 buds from 6 planted bulbs.  Also, they are very tall.  About 4 feet high.

Shirley - Heavenly, is a good description of the Stargazer fragrance.

OK.  I caved.  This is now my wallpaper on my computer.  Thank you.  If only we had smell-o-vision on the computer.  Heavenly.  It's quite a lovely site to see when my computer comes on in the morning.

Marchel - I wish the Stargazers would last longer than they do.  I would guess that they last about 3 weeks between the blooming of the first bud, to the fadding of the last one.

Janice - They are out by my white gazebo, and have become a focal point for the yard the last few days.  I'm really enjoying them.

Toula - The color of the Stargazers, makes them my favorite flower.

Heather - I'm glad you are enjoying the picture as a Wallpaper.  If you need the picture with more pixels, I have the larger file version.

Gerry - Oh yes, the intense smell is like love and passion mixed exquisitely together:-)
