I have always tried to dry flowers but they never come out that great.  Glad you enjoyed your day.

Margaret, it's on Wisconsin Avenue just above Leland.  They open Wednesday and Saturday early in the morning until about 11:00  am.  You are supposed to make it or grow it yourself.  They have some great stuff.

I used to grow flowers like that when I lived in PA. Can't do that in Florida. I would also grow basil, oregano, parsley, thyme, etc...cut it and dry it like above...When it was dry, I would put it in Ball jars and with a tight lid...Lasted all winter...it was the best...OK, second to my garden full of fresh vegies...that I also canned for winter use.

Pat - we, of course, have Farmer's Markets all over here, and year round. I love going when I have time. The best market I have been to, however, was in San Francisco - absolutely incredible. Nothing else I have seen even comes close. Neat photo of the dried flowers.

Pat,

That is a pretty site - so colorful. Is this a normal site throughout most of the year or just the warm months? :)

Pat,

Those are great flowers. They remind me of some of the markets in Europe.
