I have a question for the Real Estate Pros out there:
Which method of approach would you be most amenable to, from a Home Inspector looking to solicit some referrals? (That'd be me, he said shamelessly.)
- Direct snail mail brochure
- E-mail "Newsletter"
- Phone call ( off hours, of course)
- A face to face at an Open House (non interfering)
- None of the Above.
I have tried the "face to face" by showing up at open houses with an introductory "gift" consisting of a coffee mug with some tea bags, some chocolate, some hard candy and, of course, my business card.
I introduce myself, state why I'm there, and tell them that "I know that you probably have a Home Inspector list that you use on a regular basis, however, should they ever be too busy to service your client, please give me a call, I'm available 24/7 including Holidays and major Sporting Events.
I have had "0" success with this method and am wondering if it is a "put off" or maybe just my ugly mug.
I can take it..... Comments are welcome.... Pro or con.
And please... this is directed at Real Estate Agents.
I already know how other Home Inspectors feel.
