Awww...You have to see this!!!

At 120 degrees in Australia , it was so hot for a week that Koalas were asking people for water. It's never been seen before.

One went to a house to try to hide from the heat and get a bit of shade. Here's what happened when the owner gave him something to drink; really cute.

What cute photos! They look so adorable!! If its really 120 degrees you can't blame them for doing anything to cool off. It has been over 105 here for about 11 days and we are feeling the effects of the extreme heat.

Koalas are an amazing breed and great example of Australia. I am glad the little guy got some relief and it is nice to see that family help that other little guy get some relief in the water basin.

Tom, I completely agree with you! I just was downtown in Wka and found a stray dog....I stopped and went over to it to see if she would take water....she looked so sad/broken soul :-( The owner of the Fish Store came out and was calling the owner (since the dog had tags)...He said they would hold onto her until the people came to pick her up, or he would call Haws....Hope it all works out!

While I am sorry it is so hot, I think that picture of the Koala in the bowl is one of the cutest things I've seen.

Kristin, I got the same email a while back. Poor critters. I understand a lot of people are helping them. I also heard that over a million animals were killed in the wild fires they recently had there. What a shame!

Terry, I know....reminds me of the photos/story about the little koala drinking 4 bottled waters from one of the fire fighters...remember? so sad!

How amazing! Those creatures are so adorable!
