Compliance fees from Listing Agents

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with Chuck Bonfiglio, e-PRO- AAA Realty Group

Please help me understand this latest trend happening at an alarimg rate. How is it fair or ethical or in the sellers best interest for a listing agent to pass on a "REO compliance fee" as they call it to another agents client that has nothing to do with them or the seller? How are you going to tell us that you will not submit an offer without the addendum or package that you manipulate to your advantage? Show us in the listing agreement where it says the seller(a bank that just spent tens of thousands of dollars) on a foreclosure that they do not want to see any offers until your company gets a 195 to a 395 fee

I've actually seen a local company try this... it lasted for all of about two weeks before they were called on it.
