Hi Stacey~ I love staying home when no one knows you are home and just doing anything we want for a few days in the luxxxury of our own home. I know- boring- but I love being home!
Stacy, can't suggest anything except my brother used to live on Solomon's Island and that's supposed to be interesting. Oh, I just remembered! Have you ever been to the Eastern Shore? Pony Penning Day on Chincoteague and Assateague Islands? I've always wanted to go there and it's about this time of year!

Hope whatever you decide to do that you have a great time.
Stacey, I have never been to DC, I know that it is wrong that I haven't, so I can't recommend anyplace to go, but just enjoy yourselves where ever you decide to go!
Stacy-Ann The last time we were in DC we stayed at a lovely Bed and breakfast called Adams's Inn hosted by Anne Owens Picture gallery is at http://www.adamsinn.com/gallery.htm

Seems to me many have not visited the tourist sites in their own backyard. I say a day at the Smithsonian or visiting other tourist sites in DC could be fun for the day.
Is Niagra Falls too far? That is a very romantic spot for a get-a-way. My husband and I took a road trip from Niagra up to Ontario, Canada. We have very fond memories of that trip.
You might have already been there but if not you can visit Bucks County, Pa Philadelphia suburb. You can go to new Hope, Peddlers village, Washington Crossing State Park, and the casino in Bensalem.
Stacey,
Last year my wife and I stayed at the Wades Point Inn, a B&B in St. Michaels, MD. On the water with fantastic views. No tv or phone in the room. Just rest and relaxation.

Vickie - we'll be home most of the week and I am really looking forward to that.
Sharon - I checked out the link, that's really cool. Unfortunately its during the week and my husband will be working but thanks for the suggestion of Solomon's Island or the Eastern Shore. I had forgotten about Solomon's Island.
Bob & Carolin & Tony & Darcy - thanks, we usually enjoy ourselves when we take a few minutes away
Kathleen - I'll check that out, thanks.
Mary - We've had a few people come to visit so we've done the tourist thing a few times. DC is a fabulous city.
Cheryl - Niagara Falls is too far to drive but I am going to check out whether we could find a reasonable price. That's a great suggestion.
Gita - I've only been to Bucks County once (last week) to visit a friend but i'll check out the tourist options.
Rich - We've been to St Michaels once but it was in the winter. I'll check out your suggestion, thanks.
I vote for the "staycation". In these uncertain times, I always look for ways to save money. Just being away from the office for a few days can be a relaxing respite.
Head over to Baltimore and visit the National Aquarium in Baltimore, the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad Museum, the Cylburn Arboretum, Fort McHenry National Monument (home of the Star Spangled Banner), Historic Ships in Baltimore, the Rawlings Conservatory and Botanic Gardens, the Baltimore Streetcar Museum, and the Maryland Zoo. There is lots more to do, but those are the ones that I've done. Take your camera so you can take lots of pictures for us.
Tom - the staycation is winning.
Russel - Those are great suggestions. Thanks.
