Every Thursday, the John Bale Book Co. & Café has an Open Mike Night from 5-8 p.m. Location: 158 Grand Street.
The First Congregational Church and Waterbury Baptist Ministries is having a series of musical events followed by a barbeque:
-all events start at 6 p.m.; the barbeque starts at 7 p.m.
July 21: Heartbeat Dixieland Jazz Band
July 28: Stardust Dance Band

July 25, 2009 –
Mission Greater Waterbury is sponsoring City Fest 2009 . There is a kick-off concert on Friday, July 24 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The festival will be from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Location: Library Park.
The Car Connection Show and Glow Cruise Night - hosted by Xotic Dreams Auto Club. Registration is from 4p.m. to 6 p.m.; the cost is $15.00 per car. The show is from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Location:375 Thomaston Avenue. Call Carlos for more information at (203) 278-4416.
July 31-August 2, 2009 – The Palace and Seven Angels Theaters present their second annual Summer Stock Community Theater Collaborative production, Thoroughly Modern Millie. Times: July 31 and August 1 – 8:00 p.m.; August 2 -2:00 p.m. The cost is $25 per ticket. Location: Palace Theater, 100 East Main Street.
