This is an excellent idea!  Love the FREE giveaway and take home packet.  You should ask them to bring a friend who may be, also, interested in buying a home and offer them an additional surprise:)

Fran. That is a fantastic idea. Bonus giveaways if they bring a referral. :)

And, it works!  That's how to teach others to give you referrals:)  Once your database gets used to this idea, you can bonus the person who offers you the most referrals at an event.  I have given away massages, dinners, boat rides, landscaping certificates, etc.  When the others see the nice items of appreciation, they will try to win it at the next event!

the event was a great success. We will actively be working with some great buyers as a direct result of doing this seminar

Awesome!  Sometimes the things that cost us nothing, offer us the best results!  Good job!  As Brian Buffini would suggest, send each attendee a note card, saying thank you for attending:)  Then, follow-up with a phone call:)  Nice way to work yourself into a good fourth quarter.
