Yesterday, I had two contacts from old friends.  Friends that wanted my help with their real estate needs.  They were not sure where I was working, so, they Google'd my name.  Thanks to AR, they were able to find me and my contact information.

Folks sometimes ask me, why do you blog?  It is like an online journal.  More about business and friendships than what would be in a personal journal.  With that in mind, people do get to know the person you are.  They are reading the information that we choose to post.  The information, for the most part, is very useful.  Silly works, too!  Making someone smile is always a good thing.

The bonus, of course, is what I am experiencing today.  Reconnecting with old friends who were looking for help with real estate, from their old friend who happens to be a Realtor.  These folks are some of the nicest people I have ever known.

Again, thank you:) AR!

It's a Good Life!

Fran:)

Sharing the good life,

Frances

Oh, By the Way...if you know of someone who could use my good services, please send me their contact information.  I will follow-up and take good care of them for you.  I am never to busy for you or your referrals!

Indeed.  I just closed a sale with some folks to whom I sold a home 10 years ago.  They were ready to "move up".

They just Googled my name and there I am.

I love it when a plan comes together.

Frances what a great post!  I had a call once from a lady who could not get a hold of a friend in a community...she googled the name and came up with me!  She called me to see if I would contact her friend for her to see if she was OK....

Frances -- that's a great testimonial to your blogging and SEO efforts.  We see that happen too, where our names are searched quite a bit to bring folks to our site!  I never would have thought it would be that much.  John

Frances those of us who blog can easily see the benefit of doing it, but those that don't seem to have a hard time grasping the concept.

Michelle,  I honestly, enjoy blogging.  It relaxes me, like journaling;) ps, Florida is one of my favorite spots to visit:)

John, I am so grateful that they were able to find me.  There are still many agents in my area.

George, I started blogging so long ago, that it comes as a routine step in my day now.

Mary,  I'm glad to share and like you, thrilled that I was found.

It is a two sided sword though, It has certainly helped my business but a few ole high school buddies have found me that I would have rather not, HAHA.

I didn't like loaning them my lunch money then and Mama said quit playing with them trouble makers. When they found me and that I was living in the greatest place on earth they came here on a vacation. Now my wife says stop playing with them trouble makers.

Google is a godsend for sure.  People looking to reconnect as well as check out who you are and what you're all about.  Don't forget to google your clients as well.  It pays to learn a little about what makes them tick.
