6 Comments on Details on the First Time Home Buyer Tax Credit
And the VERY Frustrating part of all of this...There are STILL buyers who are not being told of this credit!!
I met a young married man yesterday who just bought in March - BUT the agent never told him of this tax credit! He stated, "I have heard of it, but didn't know that my wife and I could have this option!"
Thus the reason for my own personal MISSION to tell everyone I come in contact with about this tax credit!
There is a lot of confusion about the program. I hope buyers are made aware of it.
Yes there are people still out there that don't know about the credit. Thanks for sharing the info
Every time an article hits the news concerning the Tax credit for new home owners false hopes are raised. "Bridge " loans are allowed in a few states but to the best of my knowledge not in Texas. Of course some of my fellow real estate agents/brokers jump on this band wagon. I call some lenders and receive a big "NO!"
A local rumor now circulating is, "The Feds are going to raise the credit to $15,000.00, for first time home buyers". I'm afraid all this erroneous information will cause some qualified people to lose out.I believe we must continue to educate the potential first home buyers of the facts. I believe the FAQs you posted are great! Thanks again Ki.
Robert you are right, it is the rumor mill that has been putting out that the amount will be raised, it will be extended to everyone - not just first-time buyers; but being the responsible realtors that we are, we can not spread the rumors! Just stick to the facts!
