Brian Brady put on a great meeting in Del Mar tonight featuring two outstanding ActiveRain members.  I am thrilled to have gotten to know  Roberta Murphy and Jeff Brown. They are the "Veterans of Real Estate Blogging" and we can all learn a lot from their insight and experience. I was so impressed with both of them and I can't wait to get to know them even better as we have other meetings and get-to-gethers.  After about a 30 minute presentation from Roberta and Jeff, we had a social hour.

Of course I forgot my camera and I will not take pictures of people I like with a cell phone camera. If I had put the pics up on here using a cell phone camera, they would never speak to me again.

A cute and clever restaurant that En Fuego Cantina on the main street downtown Del Mar. The drinks were really affordable ( inexpensive, cheap but tasted great! )for such an upscale location.

Another person that I met and thoroughly enjoyed meeting tonight was Marlene Bridges. Marlene and I are about 7 or 8 positions apart in our AR rankings for California. She of course is way ahead of me. An excellent blogger with a great personality. Love her! This group with Brian is the greatest and I for one feel privileged to have met them all and look forward to seeing and participating with them frequently.

If your local group has meetings, I recommend that you attend. Getting to meet live those people who we come to respect as the real pros in blogging is so great. Informational meetings are good in that you can ask questions about how you go about blogging and learn a great deal from the others in your network. Plus, you build natural friendships that will enhance your life. It just doesn't get any better than this!

A wonderful experience that I hope to have many times again! Than you again BRIAN BRADY.

William - I'm blushing.  I thoroughly enjoyed meeting you as well.  In fact, during my dirve time back to the O.C., I called my best buddy and told her all about you.  I learned some great things this evening and you were certainly a big reason for that.

Roberta and Jeff were absolutely incredible.  What great, giving, caring, and gracious people.  They were sharing their best successes with a group of people who work in their same market.  That's pretty impressive!

Brian is the consummate host.  He made us all feel so important and valued.  He also did a great job posing questions for Roberta and Jeff.  At the end of the evening I met Brian's beautiful wife...easy to see why Brian is such a happy man...she was abolutely delightful.  What a great event.  Thanks for posting this and for your kind words about moi.

You are so welcome. I wish everyone could meet you. What a delight you were to sit  and chat with. Can't wait till we get another opportunity to do it again. Have you RSVP'd for the July 2Oth San Diego Soiree at the Del Mar Race Track? That should be great fun! Hope to see you there!

PS, This ad post for Brian Brady was brought to you by the good folks at Nash Rambler, lol.

PSPS, Is there anyone on here old enough to know what that is? I was just an infant mind you but I remember my Dad screaming at my older sister that he didn't care where she got it, she wasn't going to drive one of those things.

Hi William -

I'm not old enough to remember seeing a Nash Rambler, but I do remember the song with the words "....a little Nash Rambler was right behind me ..... it's horn goes Beep, beep, beep."

I'm just up the I-5 in Orange County, so I'll try to get to the A/R party at Del Mar in July.

Hello Vicki, lol, neither am I exactly. But your recollection of the song is sort of fun. How does it go? Will look forward to you being there in Old Del Mar. That to is a song, I think? Should be a fun time for everyone. I will pray to weather gods that we have a warm ( no rain) evening. What am I saying-we need rain really badly here. Ok, I will pray for rain but not until we have had our social hour and everyone is home safely.

William: It was great seeing you again--and hearing about the changes taking place in the MLS and our industry. It was also nice to hear about your good looking and informative blog, The Real Estate Textbook.

I also learned much from Jeff Brown and wish I could have stayed longer to chat it up with Marlene Bridges.

Most of all, we owe a big thanks to Brian Brady. He's 'da man!
