The importance of the word "thank you"

By
Industry Observer with Responsive Pest Control

Hi all: Lately I've been feeling very grateful for my lot in life. No, nothing's wrong. I just am thankful for so many things in my life. Was I always? Probably not. When I was younger, I'm sure I took more than I gave. Those of you who are younger and understand the wonderful concept of giving without expecting, bless you!

Yesterday I sent a simple email to everyone in my database thanking them for  their friendship and support through the years. I received quite a few responses back which was gratifying. It made me realize how truly lucky I am.

What about you? How many things are you grateful for? I was thinking today that my list is growing every day. And if you haven't reached out to thank someone recently, what are you waiting for? Thanks for reading. Have a wonderful weekend!

This is very true how often do we really stop and think of all the things we have to be thankful for instead of always remember what we are not thankful for!

That's a great little marketing nugget. Sometimes I wonder if I'm bugging my past clients with I send them stuff through the mail or email. Who could possibly be upset by a sincere thank you?

Mom's golden rule that so very few of us do.  I think I do it well, but when I see a post like this....well.  I need to do it better.

Paul - I've always been very grateful, even when things are bad, in my mind it could always be worse.

Great post, it is easy to forget the good if you are down. I always get up thanking God for all I do have.

Terri: Thanks. It's the little (or big as you allude to) things in life we should all appreciate!

Michelle: So true. Our lot in life is so much better than so many others.

Lary: Thanks for the praise. We are never thankful enough!

Rich: True although I really thought about just expressing how I felt to all who know me.

Charlie: You're welcome! I appreciate your kind words!

Annette: It's so easy to have our mind on ourselves and feel sorry for our situation. It's also very human so I understand. That being said we can't walk in others shoes and have no idea what others are going through. We should just say a big thank you for being alive!

Not enough people say thank you enough!  I try to 10/10 my days in the beginning with 10 things I am thankful for and 10 things I want to accomplish ~ helps keep things in perspective.

Renee: That's powerful! It sounds like you've got it pretty dialed in. I have to remind myself sometimes although I always say a thankful prayer for feeling so blessed! Thanks for commenting. Take care.
