Are you joining your wife, girl friend, or co-workers on the Avon Walk For Breast Cancer in Los Angeles CA on September 12-13/2009? If you haven't think about it, keep it in your calendar since it is for a Great Cause.
Lets support all the females on that matter, the walk if for 26.2 miles on a Saturday and 13.1 miles on Sunday.
The Avon Foundation places a priority on returning funds to the geographic area in which each Avon Walk takes place with a special emphasis on reaching low-income, elderly and minority individuals and those with inadequate health insurance.
Below are just a few of the most recent grants made in the Southern California area-all as a result of funds raised through the Avon Walk.

- Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation (Santa Monica) $1,200,000
- Antelope Valley Community Clinic (Lancaster) $250,000
- Council of Community Clinics (San Diego) - $250,000
- San Antonio Community Hospital (Upland) $250,000
- Northridge Hospital Foundation (Northridge) - $130,000
- Project Angel Food (Los Angeles) - $125,000
