Some Days You Just Want To Take Your Bat & Ball And Go Home!

As I was watching the news this evening, this struck me as funny and I'm not sure why.  It could just be that I need a little time off, maybe a little more sleep??

Now... I've had bad days (we all have)... I am just grateful that they've never been recorded on video (to my knowledge).

The Mississippi Braves manager went wild Friday during his team's 7-6 loss at Chattanooga. His tirade took him on a tour of the diamond as he covered home plate with dirt, threw a base and crawled on his belly.

And the words to "bad day" kept popping in my head.

"Bad Day"  Daniel Powter Lyrics

Cause you had a bad day
You're taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
You say you don't know
You tell me don't lie
You work at a smile and you go for a ride
You had a bad day
The camera don't lie
You're coming back down and you really don't mind
You had a bad day
You had a bad day

So do me a favor.... Go out & have a GREAT DAY!!

I saw that on the news.  I have to admit I laughed when I saw it.  That is a guy who needs to find a new line of work or just retire.

It was funny to see! Talk about a little stressed out.

Well, there's a huge difference between having a bad day, and acting like an idiot! But I appreciate your point and encouragement!

I saw that episode, and laughed much. As a baseball fan, I must say I appreciate it when a manager goes all out for his guys. Take Bobby Cox, the manager for my Atlanta Braves - thrown out more in less time. However, I would be curious to know how many of those times prevented one of his players from being thrown out. I'll bet the precentage is high.

Side note, the play was correct as called. But, it's always nice to know that somebody has your back in a strong way.

I never heard what ever happened to the manager - did he get fired?

His tirade was absolutely hilarious.  Maybe a prescription for lithium is in his future.

Randy:  I was thinking - "Someone needs a NAP"!

Sandra:  Our old redneck saying is "You're a WIGWAM, You're a TEEPEE, You're TOO TENTS"!

Rich:  Yeah, he might've gone just a TAD over the edge.  :)

April:  It's almost like a parent when they defend you even if they think you're wrong!  You gotta admire his passion if nothing else.

Steven:  I think 3 game suspension.  I don't follow sports news that much... but it was just so funny to me.  Now after a good nights sleep, not AS funny... but still amusing!
