Late last week I received a call from my favorite Realtors Rick and Lynn Orze about a client they were working with.  Their client, Norine was not working with anyone for her mortgage yet, but was going to be calling a few different mortgage specialist for information.

Norine called me on Friday morning, I gave her the information she was looking for and she told me she had put in the offer on a home and was just waiting for the confirmation that the house was hers.  We agreed to talk later.

I received a call from Rick Orze and Norine on Friday night, the house was hers!  Norine was excited.  Norine is also a friend of Rick's.   While they were catching up and getting the final signatures in place, they were discussing a charity ride on Sunday.  Rick knows my husband and I love to ride.  Norine tells me about the ride on Sunday I get all the details and tell her I will be there.  Wings Charity Ride

Saturday afternoon Norine and I talk again.  She has decided she would like me to do her mortgage on her new home.  We decide to meet before the charity ride and go through all her paperwork at breakfast.  The charity ride was a poker run for WingsWings is a organization that provides shelter and support for woman of abuse or homelessness.

We met for breakfast around 8:30 am and ended our day around 5pm.  We dodged a few rain drops during the day, but the sun shined on us most of the day.

During the poker run, you make several stops and will see many different people.  I ended up coming home with 2 more leads.

We had a great day helping a great charity and getting the paperwork done for Norine so that she can close on her home by June 15th!

Have you signed a client in an unusual situation and had a GREAT time doing it?

I don't think I have ever done business on a motorcycle run but it sounds like fun!!  I signed in the back office of a casino once but that is about as abnormal as I've gotten.

Susie- We had the main event in Chicago in May!  Joe does love these type of stories, but he would kick my behind for not following through on what I should be doing!

Hellmet hair, I hat and from the picture it looks like you do not wear one. Great hair!! I have met someone that we now ride with through a ride we went on and we just covered about 800 miles together recently, and they are wanting to do some investing so hopefully we will meet on that soon. There is a girl here that incorporates her motocycle with her yard sign and it looks great, of course she rides with her husband and does not have her own bike, so that kind of funny that she is standing by the bike in the pictures on her sign and business cards. With Remax you can not do that, but I do leave business cards in several shops and one of the leather bike shops uses my note cards. I make sure she has a ton of them and leave them out for other to pick up too. Our sites do mention that we are biker friendly. There is also a guy in Colorado Springs that had a bilboard and he is on his bike mentioning biker friendly.

OMG KIM, I didn't know the WINGS run was last week.  My office made 25 baskets for them at Thanksgiving time..WINGS stands for Women In Need Of Getting Stronger in case any of you want to know.  Owning a office is very time consuming and I miss out on a lot of runs.

Kim I am one of the Toys For Tots sponsors and we have Christmas in July leaving from the Broken Oar going up to Lake Geneva on July 15th.  I am waiting for the manager at The Oar to approve a Poker Run so I can add a few more stops.  I'll keep you posted.
