We have been waiting almost 6 months to get our water well started. The decision was made to put in a water well even though we have a community water system here where we live. But as my recent water bill indicated it is now too expensive to keep things alive in our yard so we hope this investment will eventually pay for itself. Somehow I have it in my mind that it would be nice to eventually put in a vineyard and that  action will require some substantial water for sure. Nevertheless we are truly excited about this event coming to fruition. Hopefully the plants and animals will enjoy the non-chlorinated water. If we ever decide to drink it we could always add purification.

The job is a little messier than we imagined but I am sure it is all a necessary part of the well drilling process.

Have a prosperous week!

Trey

I would love to have a water well in our area like you are doing Trey, but I think the table is too deep here. Our bills are outrageous too.

Hi Trey... I have never seen a well dug before.  It's got to be an interesting thing to observe.

HI Trey, we have a well here too and had to have it redrilled last year, it is 750ft but when the old one went out we needed water, at the time we had 4 horses and 3 dogs and a family of 6 here so water was necessary, to get city water the wait was 3-4 weeks.  We had a new well in 72 hours.

Although we watch our water usage because of the drought we do not pay for it like a person on city water services.  Of course putting in the new well was not cheap.  :)

Howdy there Trey

Congrats on the watre well, y'all are having drilled. When folks have a well, it does mean they have to do more upkeep. But in the long run, but that exter work is will worth it. When your able to cut City water services water bills down. Or totally out.

Trey,

Go 50 feet deeper than they say you should.  Water tables drop during drought.
