Death By Chocolate Cake

I got this recipe from Felix, a new friend I met at a July 4th party.  This cake was a big hit, delicious, easy, and I just made it again tonight, I have company.  Great for any kind of party or function.  You can get creative with the toppings!

  • 1 box German Chocolate cake mix
  • 1 container of Cool Whip
  • Caramel syrup in squeeze bottle.
  • 1 small can condensed milk
  • Regular sized Reece's peanut butter cups, chopped up to small pieces(to your tastes)
  • M&M's with peanuts, chopped up to small pieces(to your tastes)
  • Oreo double stuffed cookes chopped up to small pieces (to your tastes)

Prepare cake to box directions for the 12 X 9 pan.  When done, poke holes in the cake and pour condensed milk over top.  Let cool.  Squeeze caramel syrup over cake in swirls.  Spread cool whip over top.  Sprinkle, the M&M's, Reece's, and Oreo's over top.  That's it...You're done!

My wife and I were at a birthday party last night and I had my own "near death" experience with regard to my cake consumption.  The cake in question was nearly as tantalizing as the one described here.  I'm going to pass THIS recipe on to my wife , however, since it too looks pretty damn appealing.  Thanks

Thanks for sharing this Cindy.  Our chamber has an annual chocolate and wine event every year in the fall and this would be perfect!

Tom-It's so good it didn't last 24 hours at my house...I did have company though, does that count?

Ginger-Trust me, make this and you will be a big hit.

Sounds like a great cake to make for a birthday party.  I don't think it would last long.
