... at least it seemed that way last night.
It never ceases to amaze me that I can remember every minute detail of my transactions, but can't seem to remember anything regarding my personal life.
Last night was the icing on the cake.
I drove to the Chinese Restaurant down the street to pick up our carry-out dinner. It was rather late, but my brain really should have still been functioning, especially since I had been negotiating an offer only moments before.
I remembered where the restaurant was, managed to give out the right amount of money, and even remembered to be polite and tell the cashier to have a nice weekend.
That's where all normalcy ended.
I couldn't find my keys. I practically dumped the contents of my bag on the counter. Still no keys, but I kept walking out the door to my car. I stopped once again to rifle through my bag. Still no keys.
Then I hear a door beeping and look up to see my car door opened and my car engine actually RUNNING.
I think to myself that I really must be losing it!
Then I see movement in my car. OMG, there's someone in my driver's seat. OMG, what do I do?
I start to go for my pepper spray that I keep handy while I'm showing vacant homes. Except I remember that my pepper spray is in the console of my car - my car that's running and being commandered by a car thief.
Uhm, except there isn't a car thief in my driver's seat - there's MY HUSBAND in my driver's seat.
I completely forgot that HE drove to the Chinese carry-out.
Like I said, I think I may be losing my mind ... time for a vacation.
Calgon, take me away ...
(By the way, the restaurant is Yang's Gourmet House on Heatherdown's Blvd. in South Toledo Ohio. They make a mean subgum!)

Dee, Thanks for the great laugh! Then, on a more serious note, I'm so glad to hear that other adult females have sudden moments of "disconnect" [Where am I? What am I doing here?]
