You know you need a vacation when you forgot you sold a home

Up until yesterday, I thought there were only two streets in San Antonio on which I'd sold more than one home. But as I was going through my spreadsheet and updating my sales data from last week's closings, I realized that I had another street to add to my list. I had just sold a nice rental home in Kenton Place, a neighborhood convenient to the Medical Center, UT Health Science Center, UTSA, and USAA.

Now, San Antonio is a big city--the seventh-largest in the US, according to the latest census data. And I do work all over the northern half of the metro area, including the neighborhoods outside the city and county limits in Guadalupe County to the northeast.

But that is no excuse for my forgetting that I had sold the house next door. It was almost exactly two years ago, too.

I guess I need to take a break and go on another vacation!

Hahahah! Oh my, I think we've all done that. Sometimes we get so busy that what happened 2 years ago becomes a blur :-)

. . . and it is even worse when you no you sold the house but can not remember the clients.

Hi Robin ~ If that's as bad as it gets I think you're doing a-ok memory-wise. The holes in my sieve of a head are getting ever larger.

When you have so many it is hard to keep track, that's not such a bad thing.

This happens to the best of us we forget a lot of things when we are busy. At least the picture jogged a memory.

I never forget my clients! I thought I was pretty good at remembering the houses, too.

I might just take you up on that Ocean City offer, Kathy!

Robin don't feel alone, I walked into a house to do an inspection a few weeks back and had a strange feeling I had been there before. Sure enough I was right, about ten years ago. Of course at my age I've earned the right to forget sometimes, Right?
