Bronco cowIt seems everywhere we look there are cows on The Rain.  I must get into the act with this lovely Moo.

She is a Bronco Cow, a major fan of Denver's Mile High team the Denver Broncos.

At the moment this lovely bovine is one of many cows in various herds situated all around town.

This year Denver has been home to the famous Cow Parade, a heartwarming charity event that ends next week end.

If you haven't got out to the pasture, be sure to go soon.  You will be so glad you did!

That must be something going on across the country.

Knoxville did that a couple of years ago with black bears. The sponsors decorated them and they were auctioned off for a local charity. One of the coolest ones was decorated by a group that gathered pieces of broken mirrors and glue them on.

We're doing the same thing this year with coon dogs (the University of Tennessee mascot).

We had dogs in Birmingham.

Everyone is seeing cows since Angus joined us!  I've said it before, I'll say it again.  I wish my mother had named me Angus.

MF... The Few, The Proud, The Maureens!  Your mama gave you a great name.

Great cow KK.

Columbus did corn....a number of years ago.  HER Real Living sponsored an artist who did one outside the new downtown theather, Popcorn.  I believe the Popcorn sculpture is still in the lobby of  our administration builiding.

I have always thought cows would have been more fun.  Columbus is called a cowtown.  There's somethng about a vegtable that is less animated.  Don't tell Veggie Tales I said so though.

I've known Angus for several years and everytime I see something cowish for sale, I want to buy it and send it to him but something tells me he probably has quite a collection.

How are the Broncos doing.  I should know, but . . .  My old (actually very young) assistant left me because her significant other is with the Broncos, so I'm wishing them a wonderful year.

I've seen painted & decorated sea turtles in St. Petersburg & horses in Ocala. I think it's a great idea to raise money.

We really enjoyed these in Europe - took pictures of so many of them. One of the capitals had cows, Angus, but I can't remember which city.

KK, you'll need to explain to TLW what a Bronco is. She's having trouble keeping up with the Midwest Barnyard terms - she only knows gators.

Maureen - you need to go find a photo of Dublin's Corn statues to include here.

As for Angus, the last I saw of him was on my M&M's blog. I'm sure he'll be here soon.

TLW. gators are those things you were around your ankles to keep from getting powder down your shoes.

Bronco?  Everyone knows what a Bronco is!

Angus is missing still.  So is the  Hula Cow...what's up?

Dublin Field of CornHere is Dublin's (an upscale suburb of Columbus) Field of Corn. It's a bunch of concrete corn statues. It's considered 'artwork' in an business complex.

Most people don't understand it, especially given the classy suburb.

Holy Cow!Outstanding Cow Post!

I thought that I had posted here earlier today.. I must not have hit "submit"... so sorry.

If that's a hula cow, it must be confused, thinking it's an Angus in a kilt. I wonder if it's wearing it in the traditional manner....

Angus, we thought you were missing...glad you are back.

Linda the Cow Parage visits many cities around the world. It's been a great way to raise money and entertain the public.  I love the names they give the cows, so creative.

Elaine, the corn is funny too.  Celebrating the ordinary in life is wonderful.  Actually it's the ordinary that we live with everyday, it gives us comfort.
