I have been using ClickForms for my appraisal software. I originally purchased Clickforms because it was suggested by another appraiser I know and work with. While the actual software works just fine, I have found the company to be lacking in their support and helpfulness after the initial purchase. Others I have talked with have had the same problems, while other appraisers think they are just great. I guess it's a personal preference.

Anyways, the sketching program that came with the software expired after a short trial period and Clickforms wanted a rather large amount of my money to continue using it. I found something far better!

Rapidsketch (see the link above) is a great program and the cost is less than many others. They let you try it out for 90 days free. A full version for 90 days free!

I have been using it for a while and it works great! It's easy to use and I no longer dread having to do the sketch portion of the appraisal.

And their Tech Support and willingness to help is second to none. This company is awesome!

If you are looking for a really good sketching program, I suggest you try RapidSketch.

Thank you for the referral. I can't remember what software I used back before 2004 when I was appraising. (my laptop was stolen so the software is gone.) Every now and then, I miss the ability to do property sketches. I will have to look into this.

Debi, give it a try. It really is a great program. I am really impressed by the software and the help the company provides. Good luck!

Thank Scott!

I wish I would have known this when I had to re-install WinTotal and upon install, something terribly wrong happened to Apex and so as a 'quick fix' I downloaded a 'free trial version' which worked great... until I printed out the report and the sketch had a big diagnol 'Sample' stamped across the page. I was angry.

Sara,

It's not too late to give  Rapidsketch a try. 90 days full version is free. Can't go wrong with that!

Best of luck.

Scott

It's tough switching....but I have both rapidsketch (older version) and Apex on my machine.  I must admit the bells & whistles of Apex kepp me coming back while Rapidsketch seems as though it runs faster.

Rapidsketch just came out with a new updated version on June 1st. I just downloaded it but have not yet taken it for a "run through the park". It has improvements from the older version and the bugs (which I never found in over 4 months of use) have been fixed.

But let me say it's the company that impresses me. They answer emails. They answer phone calls. They are always willing to help.

ACI offers a choice of which sketch software you want to use.

WinSketch  -  Apex  -  DC Sketch  -  Rapid Sketch

Personally I prefer Apex.

I have used WinSketch and Rapid Sketch. I keep hearing Apex is good too. Maybe I'll give it a try someday.
