Most of you have read my post on fixing the Real Estate industry.

Please see: http://activerain.com/blogsview/1155284/i-can-fix-it-

Here are a few more Ideas to help the country.

•·        Build 150 new power plants in the USA. 30 In California alone. The cost should be in the neighborhood of 200 billion. Then assign these power plants to power companies with a payback out of usage to the American People. Environmentalists can go swimming in the pacific as no construction will be halted for any reason. This is a State emergency and should be done and done now.

•·        Build 10 more refineries. The cost should be in the neighborhood of 70 Billion. Then assign them to oil companies with a payback out of usage to the American people. Once again nothing stops construction. The environmentalists can go save a beach in South America.

•·        Oil exploration and drilling will begin in America immediately. To encourage this there will be a tax credit for every well drilled and producing for 300 days a year, at a minimum standard of 15 barrels a day. Each well that achieves this standard will have a tax credit equal to $1 a barrel produced for 20 years. In addition all exploration costs are 100% tax deductable. Anwar opens up Day one. We are in a crisis and catch up mode, so the environmentalists can go save a sea otter or something.

•·        Companies or individuals have the right to sue any environmental lobby or government entity that stops a project that has been permitted and previously authorized. It's real simple; if you don't want it built you can buy the property for the price plus the loss of the income from the shuttered project. In order to stop a project other than those listed above, the court will require a cash bond equal to the amount of the property and project.

•·        All government officials, except the president, must fly commercial. Flights over 10 hours can be upgrade to first class.

Terry,

This sounds rather ambitious but one that needs to be put in place as soon as possible.

Terry,

I'll vote for you!!! Great plans. Too bad sensible plans are never implemented.

Your plan would make us more energy independent, put a ton of people to work, and keep a fortune in tax revenues here in the USA. Too bad ambitious political agendas are put above the interests of "we the people".

Terry, I believe we shouldn't rape the land however we can do all of what you mentioned without polluting what we have. The people of Alaska, who love their land and natural resources, know what it takes to do it right...One Question, Why not nuclear power plants? Green Peace even sees the advantages!

So I'm curious. If people are complaining about the debt and their children and grandchildren and great grandchildren having to pay off that debt, there will be nothing to worry about once the world is destroyed from overdevelopment and the destruction of Mother and Father Nature and all their magnificent flora and fauna. Mankind can't survive by itself.

I say let's put a zero population growth requirement on the world, and since the United States likes to be the leader, let's start here at home. No more babies by anyone! Then we'll have enough resources to go around without destroying the world.
