Back in January 2008 I wrote a post about catering to the search engines.I confess this post was inspired by the results I was seeing Missy Caulk and others getting from localism posts. I had forgotten about this post until a spammer hit it with a comment and before I could erase the comment an activerainer commented on it as well with a legitimate comment.

The reason I bring this up is because I got an e-mail a couple of days ago from a guy wanting me to list his lot in Lakewood Subdivision. Lakewood is a community with 5 lakes located about 4-5 miles north of Dyersburg,Tennessee 38024.

I started blogging about the Lakewood community in an outside blog before I joined Activerain back in May of 2007.

Because of my curiosity, I asked this Lakewood owner why he called me. He told me because I got on Google and typed in Lakewood Dyersburg and up you came #1 Activerain blog post #4 outside blog #5 and #6 and #7 and #9 all on first page. This guy actually pulled my profile up for activerain and sent me an e-mail thru the Activerain server.

I have worked very hard with relevant titles, keywords and tags in all my blog posts(activerain and outside) and now I am starting reap the benefits.

This post will probable index (on page one of Google) in next few hours (indexed #2 in 2 minutes)for search term Lakewood Dyersburg. I believe it would index quicker if I included this post in localism.

I am sure sellers really like the exposure in the search engines too; thus, working with the agent with great search engine exposure would be appealing to these sellers.

wow, this is great news. Google does love Activerain. If you write with good keys words and anchor text for your community you can definately grow your business.
