Portland has so many unique and charming areas scattered around that make this city one of the best choices for a future Portland relocation. If you are looking to escape sweltering heat, high density traffic, unhealthful smog levels, an unacceptable crime rate, unfriendly neighbors and a lack-luster nightlife and day scene then I would strongly recommend Portland, Oregon as one spot on the map that can completely change your life for the better.
If you are a long time resident, some of your favorite neighborhoods in Portland are probably in inner SE and NE Portland. In the inner Southeast just to name a few, the Buckman neighborhood is one of my favorite neighborhoods and is walking distance to everything that I love about Portland. Sellwood is full of antique shops and classic old homes, the Hawthorne district has a wide variety of local pubs and live music venues.
Just to name a couple, In the inner Northeast The Alberta Arts district has last Thursday that brings in several local Portland talents taht set up booths while hubndreds of locals walk and browse the streets. The Laurelhurst neighborhood has beautiful luxury homes, fine-dining restaurants awesome shops and a gorgeous park and duck pond.
