A major miracle just happened... my migraines seem to be COMPLETELY gone with some hocus pokus "woo-woo" stuff.

Migraine word cloudPigs have just flown, it froze in Hell, and the bear just pooped in the woods (oopps, wrong saying... sorry).  Anyway my life has been turned upside down, in a good way, by some hocus pokus stuff. After a lifetime of migraines (2 - 3 a week growing up) I not only have found how to deal with them... I no longer get them. I think.  Maybe too soon to tell, but it seems like they are gone.  Poof.  Vanished into Outer Space. It's magic.

For years I have felt like I want to mind meld into a Star Trek episode, so the Doc could run that electrical gizmo over me, then proclaim, "You need chromiumzincoziumoxideosis... for some reason you lack it, and that's why you feel funky all the time.  Captn' hand me that bottle. There.  You are cured".

Yeah, well life doesn't happen that way.  Dang.  But last week, for me, it did.  It did happen just like that.  And I just ate a cheese omelet that would have sent me into migraine orbit last week.  And I feel GREAT.

So, I'm a pretty concrete person.  No Woo-Woo in my life.  I don't believe in ghosts, or the tooth fairy.  I'm pretty much "I gotta see it to believe it".  But a few friends have had some amazing results with an Alternative Medicine guy in town, Dr. Kwiker. Like blood pressure back to normal, and 100 point drop in cholesteral.   So what have I got to lose... I made an appointment.

Migraine feelingI've spent the past two years totally paying attention to what I eat and have discovered 13 little ingredients that make me feel bizarre, and one that gives me a migraine, cheese.  Read about it here.  My goal in seeing him was to find out what I can take when I accidently eat one of these poison-like foods (like nutmeg, that makes me sick).  He started out asking a few questions... "Have you ever had mumps or measels, do you sleep through the night, what do you eat mostly, do you get leg cramps,... I forget what else, but they were odd questions. Oh, and he looked at my fingernails.

Then he said "You're lucky.  I think I can make your migraines and this funky feeling you get completey go away.  Best part??? It will be cheap, and quick.  Like today!  I'm pretty sure I know what it is, but let's confirm with a test." And you think I believe you?... you must be nuts, I am thinking.  Not today.  Not in one day.  Ain't happenin.

So he set me in a chair and had me hold a wet handle, I presume a conducter. He watched a computer screen as he placed a little pen-like thingy on my index finger at points. "These are the accupuncture points", he said. Yeah, right... as if this is going to work.  You sure you are not quack-er, instead of Kwiker? hee, hee, hee... pleased with how originally clever I am.  How do you do this with a straight face?  This is getting bizarre.

I watch the screen.  Theres a horizontal green line in the middle.  An electronic mark keeps appearing and zooming up to the top of the screen as he pokes different places. He keeps making choices in the computer, then says "OK.  If I'm right, this time the line will stay in the green zone."  ZTTTT.... right into the green zone.  Don't know what it means, but I'm impressed.  He does a few more..... zzztttt.... up to the high side. Then... "OK, again if I'm right, this one will stay in the green."  It does.  "Just what I thought", he said. Hmmmm....

Homeopathic medicineOK, now it gets wierd. He grabs two vials from the shelf with Latin names on them. "Put 3 of these under your tongue, from each bottle."  They taste like breath mints.  Sweet.  He then tests my finger again.  ZZTTT... right into the green zone. Hey.... so fast???? They haven't even dissolved yet!!!!

"We're done.  Take three of these once a day for 5 days, then throw them away.  They won't help anyone else, and they will be done for you.  These are the specific things YOU need to get back in balance."

OK, so where are the needles in my head for the Electro Encephlogram, or the brain scan, or CAT scan... or maybe a DOG scan for crying out loud.  How do you know this, and how can it be so simple?  This is frikken bizarre!!!!

So now I'm paraphrasing here... but this is what I got.   He said there is residual bad ju-ju left over from a severe case of some childhood disease. Like... crud or cobwebs.  I remember later that when I had measles, I had a whoppin bad case of them. Even my mouth was full of them.  I was under 1, and sick as a dog. And I may have had mumps, but Mom can't remember. He said I was out of whack from that, and his little machine confirmed what was lacking, or what was screwed up, or something.... but those little pills gave me what I need to restore the "balance". Cue the eerie music...

So, this is so frikken bizarre, and so NOT in my realm of understanding or beliefs.  But I can't argue the results. I have tried EEG's, phenobarbital, heart-regulating medicine, meditation, bio-feedback, excercise, no excercise, wishing, crying, chiropractic adjustments... what else?  I've changed my diet... actually that helped.  Through the Eat Right for Your Type diet (about blood types),  I discovered all the things that make me feel bad.  I've taken enzymes.  I've kept the pain medicine manufacturers in business. (Imetrex and Maxalt, I love you...). But still, I've had to avoid the things that make me feel bad, or ZAP... into the funk.

But I'm done. Thanks to some woo-woo pills, and the vision Star Trek gave me about possibilities in life. And to Dr. Kwiker who was put on this planet to know the things he does, so I can feel better.  At least that's MY story.  And I'm stickin' to it.

WOW, is all I can say.

thanks, Big Stock Photos and thanks Dr. Kwiker

That's great. I've had migraines since I was about 6, and that's also when I got the chicken pox, so maybe it it left over ju ju crap.  I've had a headache everyday this week, but yesterday I got a major migraine.  I hate 'em and they're even worse when you have a kid to take care of. I used to be able to crawl into bed, but yesterday, I had to fake smile and fake have fun playing.  It was bad.

I wish I could have some magic pills!

Gab - this just blew me away.

Betina - I can't say I had any faith in the natural stuff - I thought it was too goofy. Not any more.

Kat & Donna - wow - All I can say is don't give up.  I haven't and I finally hit paydirt.  Dr. Kwiker - just google him.  He's in Sacramento on alta Arden - he's all over the web.  I honestly can't believe he's the only one who does this.  Maybe more will respond here with their success stories. But I would fly to Timbuktu to have this done, no matter what the cost, now that i know about it.  I would have to say his experience (he knew just by talking to me) paired with the technology (that's what made me believe him) to give me the right homeopathic goofy pills is what you are looking for.  and if nothing else, read the Eat right for You Type book.  that enabled me to feel  SO MUCH BETTER if I could avoid the foods.  Good luck, and let me know what happens.

Sandy, Glad to hear you took a major step to get real help and your migraines are gone. There is so much about our bodies and minds that "modern medicine" ignores. We have the power to heal and be healed if we are willing.

Sally:  First of all, I am glad you are feeling so much better.  Migraines are the devil.  My husband has had luck with his homeopathic doctor.  It seems odd that stuff like this works, but hey, why argue.  Enjoy the results and the lack of a huge medical bill to accompany it.

Jason - What I took were specific to me... he knew from my answer to his questions what was wrong, then confirmed it with his computer thing.  So it wouldn't necessarily help your Mom. What would, is someone as good as he, with the tools he has, to determine what will get her firing on all cylinders again.  I don't kow if there is a name for the process... but there are many latin-named homeopathic cures... they will only work if they are right for you.  Otherwise it's like standing on the down side of a teeter-toter... ain't no magic.

Chris Ann - I agree it seems odd... I don't understand it... but I am on cloud nine.  I'm so happy.

Michael - Your mind is amazing - we can tell by your writing and creativity.

Sally - That's a great story. I too suffer from Migraines.... had them for years now.....it's a real bummer... I'll have to look into those chromiumzincoziumoxideosis pills... hmmm I am a skeptic as well like you so I had heard of the chromium tablets thingy a long time ago but I never tried them. You said this dr. said this treatment was specific to only you? Could you explain that a little more?

Debra - Yes... they seem to be gone.  I've eaten 2 of the 10 things that kill me, and I feel great.

Robert....I made up that chrom....osis thing.  That's my Star Trek word.   I actually had Influenzinium and Alumina, which are the two homeopathic ones that showed up on my computerized reading.  I dont know how it would apply to anyone else, but I really don't know.  What i would do is find a homeopathic doctor, and see what they find for you.  My niece had the same thing, in Rome, at an alternative medicine place, and they gave here something else, specific to her "vibes".  Hers went away after 14 years.  It basically all comes down to your energy, which i don't get at all.  But you don't need to get it for it to work.

Cheers to you Sally for trying something different.  At times, for certain ailments traditional medicine attaches a new meaning to "practicing medicine".  Glad you found relief.

Sally - I am such a huge believer in alternative medicine, especially homeopathy.  I once had a case of eczema that covered nearly 1/2 of my body.  I cried everytime I went into the shower.  It was cured with homeopathy and it never came back.  I'd suffered from mild bouts as a child, but this was horrendous.

The man who treated me moved to California and became pretty famous.  He was so young at the time, in his mid-twenties.  He had (has) a gift.

One really has to be properly diagnosed and treated constitutionally for chronic conditions.  It must be done by someone who knows what they are doing.  People who have the same problem may be treated with different remedies.  It is a hard concept to wrap your mind around.

As a layperson, one can research a little and treat themselves for acute issues.  You can even get some brands in places like Rite-Aid!  Ever hear of Humphrey's for Teething (babies)?

My husband can get homeopathic remedies directly from the supplier and we get a fresh batch of Influenzinum every year and take it every six weeks during the flu season.

I am happy that you found someone who took care of you - what a great story.  Thanks for sharing.

Sandy - thanks for your comments.  I'm such a newby to alternative medicine.  This was, however, totally mind-bending.  It altered my entire life.  I feel so good, I can't believe it... it's like I'm buzzing all the time.  YYEEEEOOWWWWWW!  That's me howling at life.

Thanks so much for stopping by mh blog posts.  I really appreciate it.

Sally - I am so glad you have found something that has worked!  Fingers crossed they'll stay away. I have MS and it seems the more natural and alternative medicine things keep me feeling better than the prescriptions from the normal path. Plus I think my mind over matter helps too and I know just from reading your blogs - your spirit is definitely mind over matter and if there's a remedy to something you'll find it! I am so glad to hear it worked!  Keep us posted!!

Valerie - I think the lesson in all this for me is to keep your mind open, and just because you have tried 3 bazillion things, doesn't mean you have tried the right one.  There may still be an answer in a different direction than you have me=been looking.

Interesting about your MS results.  The alternative seems to deal with the root cause, instead of softening the symptoms, or taking away the pain.  It's a pretty cool direction.  Thanks for your comments.
