Tidewater Community College is breaking ground and making moves in the health care industry. The ground breaking ceremony for the new 65,000 square foot Regional Health Professions Center was on July 22 at the Virginia Beach Campus. According to Forbes Magazine, 17 of the 30 fastest growing professions are in the health care industry. The new regional center will advance TCC's Healthcare Degree and Certificate Programs which currently offers 13 programs including Nursing, Radiology Technician and Nurse Aide to name a few. The building will include 15 labs with clinical settings featuring the latest digital imaging, 15 simulation rooms and six computer labs with specialized software. I can tell you from personal experience that the training is the best in the area. My daughter attended TCC as a prerequisite for the 4 year Nursing Program at Norfolk State University.
