Quit posting spam on my blog!!!!!

Looks like I am getting a ton of spam on all my posts. The Spammers are trying to disguise their comments as a legitimate post, but it is always off the subject.

If you get these posts please let me know. I have been reporting them to Active Rain.

I would suggest anyone who gets these to report them and delete them as soon as possible.

To all spammers out there on Active Rain please don't post spam comments on my blog as I will delete you ASAP.

Jeff, we're all having to do the same thing. It seems a new group of spammers have discovered the power of AR and are trying to take advantage of it. Their efforts will be wasted. I just wish we could send something back down the line to blow up their computers. : )

Go to your "Settings" control on your Profile and disable Public Comments.

It will stop them.

Jeff, we all have some comments that are dead on and add to the discussion, some that are way off and many that are plain jane / lukewarm sentiments like "your blog is enlightening...all the best" kinda of lineage that you see the same comment made on other entries to I guess collect points. John is working on the reverse comment wiring and once he has it mastered, he will share how to reverse pipeline the garbage!

I was thinking about doing that, but I like outside comments if they are legitimate.

I haven't experienced this-hopefully with enough complaints it will stop.

It is really me just spamming to drive you nuts.... Just click report a concern and get your 10 points. It's a win win for all. This will be an ongoing problem as time goes on. I am still waiting for the lady from Nigeria to contact me about the sad death of her husband and the zillions that she wants to give me. Maybe next week. I am sitting here waiting.......

I just got a few more.

I guess if I have to have only members leave a comment I will. Then once it slows down I will open it up again.

I wonder what they hope to accomplish spamming us in Activerain?

I think they get paid to post these links. This helps them create a huge link back for their page and gives them a better SEO rating.

Also, they may be getting paid for how long the link stays on the site. A lot of agents just leave them and these spammers are making money off of that.

I've had a few and when I can delete them I will. I guess we should be encouraged that the SPAMMERS think our blog posts are important and will be read for their time/energy/post to be of value to them....
