It just dawned on me that I am a professional worrier.  I woryy about my buyers, my sellers, the market, what the President will say, did I get all the bills in to my asset mangement companies on time, will they pay me?  Did I do a great enough presentation on that last listing appointment?  I could go on and on.

Sometimes, after I've played in the Rain, I will play a game or two of solitaire or hearts on the computer.  Why?  It allows my subconscious to come up with ideas, solutions and other things to worry about.  It is a great way to allow your mind to wander and not have to take credit for what comes in or what goes out!  But, I will tell you, that one game may lead to another if you allow the brain to "free fall".  I used to try meditation but this keeps the busy mind going and lets the subconscious do its thing.

Might not work for you, but, lately, I'm really getting good at hearts!!!!

Suzanne, I like that you are "professional" in this category. Maybe you can give certifications to others in this area. Seriously, don't worry, be happy. I heard that somewhere before ; )

Suzanne I too am a professional "worrier".... I even worry about worrying!  Lol - my "solitaire" is a ride on my motorcycle. Completely takes my mind away from everything as all my attention needs to be focused on what I am doing.... talk about clearing the mind!!

I'm really good at hearts too, and spades. Now I'm looking for a new game to get good at....

Gary,  I know that you tell us to take in all in stride. You are a Zen master.  I try, truly, I do.

Val, after reading about your last escapade with the bike, you are truly a master of the bike.  I'd love to see you ride.  My broker does, but I'm too chicken for it.  Especially after reading your blog about the idiots out there.

Cheryl - try icebreakers on AOL games.  It's another mindless, but fun game.  I can't ever get too far, either get tired or booted out.  But, it's kind of fun.

Suzanne - You have to give your mind some "time off" from all the worry, that's for sure.  I enjoy playing softball, as well as mind games and spending time with the kids.  Sometimes I just have to step away in order to re-focus.

Worry, tell me what that is again. I handle all the worry I can for my clients as well, no sense in both of us having to do it.

Hi Suzanne, A "professional worrier"  I never thought of it that way!  I tend not to worry about things I have no control over, it makes life a little easier.  But I do worry for my clients, I can't help it - and I use AR and sudoku puzzles to take a break.

Troy - we all have to do something to get away.  Physical activity is awesome.  Works for me.  Takes the stress off the mind and the body.

JL - We could be cousins.  Are you sure we aren't?

Mary - I love AR and sudoku, too.  I use sudoku at opens when I'm not working.
It passes the time and makes me think!!

Suzanne, I like to tell my clients that they don't have to worry - it's what they pay me to do.

We have four games on the office computers that I play often: Mahjong, Hearts, Freecell, and Tetris. They do provide a certain type of relaxation during the course of a long day.
