Things that make you smile while stuck in traffic...

There's been rumor that the Smart car was coming to the states.  I finally saw my first Smart on the highway while stuck in traffic yesterday.

It had Canadian license plates so I'm guessing it isn't here yet.

I remember being enamored by this car on my first trip to Paris a few years ago.  How convenient for city parking!

Might be hard to show buyers property using this but might make one focus on only taking listings!

Darren- I have seen these cars a few times, but never notice the plates on them!  I will have to pay attention!  You are right, they make me laugh EVERYTIME!

I actually saw one on the 405 freeway last week.  Almost worse than a motorcycle for safety it seems.

Can they even make it on the freeway? Lol. It's a cute little car and all, but not for me.

What is a Smart Car? I assume it is an environment minded vehicle? Looks pretty funky.

This would make a great vehicle for a Buyers Agent.  By the time you got to the third home the Buyer would be ready to write!  Unfortunately, because they are small and not as safe, insurance rates would go up for everyone else.

We have a dealership here that sells them and I've seen them in downtown Portland, Oregon. My newest client says once her house sells that with some of the proceeds that she is buying one.

Geez...just like Geeks deemed to be unattactive...Smart cars are the same! LOL. There is always lack of parking space here in NYC..bet this will increase my chances of finding a parking space on the street and avoid paying the $25 an hour gargage parking.

I would be afraid of it toppling over in a strong wind.

I think these cars are the cutest things.  I've seen a few in Florida.

They remind me of when I was little and my brother was playing with matchbox cars and he would pick the cars up and then run them backwards on the floor a few times and let go of them and they would take off.

Vroooom Vrooooom!!!

Many great points here.  I visited the SmartUSA website.  It's interesting to see how innovative this car truly is.  Not only is it incredibly cost effective ($12,000 U.S.) but in this day and age of high gas costs, the site claims the car get 40 mpg under normal driving conditions and has top speeds of 90 mph.

Just some fun food for thought this morning.
