Just got my Twibbon - Get yours and get branding!

Twibbon.com allows you to “Start Something!” and claims to be “the easiest way to promote awareness of your cause on twitter”.

So, you just create a Twibbon and encourage others to “wear it” on their twitter profile images and support your cause. I think it’s a great opportunity to give your brand exposure. I just created a Twibbon for my PositiveMommies network. Yay!

There are 3 steps to follow:

1- Identify your “cause” and describe it.

2- Upload your Twibbon (I created mine using Adobe Fireworks. The file should be 73x73 and not exceed 150kb).

3- Enter your twitter login info.

“When you create your Twibbon your avatar will be the first to be overlaid with the image you select and a support Tweet will posted on your behalf saying :

‘Support [YOUR CAUSE NAME], add a #Twibbon to your avatar now! - http://twibbon.com/join/YOUR-CAUSE-NAME’ “

"Thanks for showing your support for Raising Positive Children! Your profile image has been updated and a tweet sent out on your account"

Aw thank youuuu! I thought it was so cool. I'm so excited to wear my twitter ribbon. Going to work hard on promoting the site so more women can be empowered with the interaction. I feel it's my mission in life. :)

Just maybe.....I will sit down this weekend and attempt to understand how I can receive net results from Twitter from real estate. The problem that I have is that I just do not get it. I have zero time in my schedule to look at those who are following me....and am questioning if I should cancel my account, as I feel bad about it. I know of agent who have thousands of followers, yet are not on the radar screen of being ranked in the top agents in Austin. The scary part for me is to take time from a known success towards an arena of an unknown success.....at least in my mind. I do understand the motivation of "a cause" and that is wonderful, but I do not understand the motivation of a non cause such as real estate. I am not being negative, just being confused......as usual.

I do appreciate your passion as I have a client that has been in your shoes and is following in similar footsteps. Keep it up as there are those I know very, very well that never were able to deal with such an event. Keep on for others........

Hi Tim!

I'm so glad to stay connected to you. I hear what you are saying. It's not about numbers, it's about relationships. Twitter makes a lot of sense for my community. I also approach it with a strategy. If you're simply clicking to get more followers and tweeting to be funny or popular, you will definitely not get any business from it. If you approach it from a biz angle, you'll be able to gain clients for life. You gotta be ready though...if you don't embrace it, it will never work. Are you ready for the jump? ;)
